More homemade yarn...

P3230046_2

100% Australian Superwash Merino from  the Fiber Fiend
120 yards of the Mulberry Colorway, worsted weight and navajo plied (this was my first atempt on this technique)
This roving was nice and soft, easy to spin. The color keeps you entertained, I have 3 other colors from Margit to spin up, as for this one it will probably become a hat. Any suggestions?
Here is a close up.

Periwinkle beret

As soon she saw the pattern, she said to me Mom please make me one in black! So we went off to the yarn shop and picked up a pretty soft BLACK yarn, a week (or so) later here it is, she didn't even let me  block the beret!
Happy mademoiselle!

This is my hand spun on the left from my sheep 2 shoe roving in rooster rock, and on the left roving purchased at Stitches West last month, I'm in love with my wheel and I spent the whole weekend spinning and plying.
