I wish I could just finish this, i am 9 rows til the end, 9 freakin rows, I just keep putting it down and cannot do it.
This project has been OTN for 2 years now, I want to finish it, I'm sick of knitting it! But I love the design and the yarn.
What the heck! I've been sitting around working and browsing the net I want to make so many things, socks, shawls, I want to be on Ravelry!, I want a new camera and I want my kids to go back to school, they start next week!
I love summer, but this year we didn't really go anywhere, we made a couple of special trips, but that's it, I want my routine back and I want to be able to knit for hours.
Whiny enough for you! Oh well. tomorrow is a new day and I'll be in a better mood.
According to this:
I should be in in 2 weeks or so..
Today is a great day, I discovered my sockapalooza 4 package in my own house, con you believe i was a complete moron and totally did NOT notice that the box was there? For over a week!! Like I said I'm a moron!
But a lucky moron!!
Want to see all the good stuff I got this time from my wonderful and absolutely sweet pal Regina?
Inside this box was an assortment of goodies:
-A lovely postcard with a lovely note *(I teared up when I read it)
-A skein of Tofutsies yarn in a lovely summer color and a pattern to make the Tidal wave socks with it.
-A little SOAK pouch to wash my socks
-a huge bag of Haribo gummy bears
-The most beautiful and cute wind chime (which is hanging by my sewing room already)
-An last but not least my SOCKS, my beautiful, lovely and perfect fit socks! I cannot tell you enough about how lucky I feel.
Thanks a lot sockpal you did are so talented!
And on their way to my pal! yeah! I thought I was never going to finish knitting these, with my parents and sister visiting this summer and crazy work schedule life got in the way of knitting!! Funny how that happens.
Here they are
Pattern: Broadripple from Knitty
Yarn: Handpainted Sock from Cookie A. (I got this at Stitches this year) 100% Superwash Merino
Needles: US 2 (2.75mm) KnitPicks Options (magic loop) garter stitch short row heel.
I really hope my pal likes them and one little hint... They are not traveling far....
I can't believe it's been that long since I posted, bad blogger!! know, we have been swamped with work and with the kids out of school it makes it hard to get away to get some free time.
I've been knitting away and quietly finishing some projects, one is the Charlotte's Web shawl, some handspun socks and of course the famous sockapalooza socks.
